Scarborough Support Services is always looking for volunteers. Volunteers form a vital part of our service to the community. Volunteers are involved in our agency in all kinds of ways: on the ground in direct programs and services, on committees, in our offices providing assistance, and helping with our fundraising activities.

Driver or Runner for Meals on Wheels
Help us deliver hot, nutritious meals to seniors and disabled adults
who have difficulty preparing their own meals.

Visit a senior or disabled adult in their home so they feel like
they¹re not isolated from the community

An Agency Board or Committee Member
Be a board or committee member and help us make important policy decisions

Driver or Assistant to the Congregate Dining Program
Help seniors and disabled adults gather together for communal meals and
recreational activities

Driver and Escort to a Medical Appointment or Shopping
Help seniors do their important errands with our Transportation program

Telephone Reassurance Volunteer
Have friendly phone conversations with seniors and help make them feel
like they¹re not isolated from the community

Volunteer for the Craft Group
Help seniors and disabled adults create decorative crafts which will be
later sold at fundraising events.

Volunteer for the Adult Day Program
Help seniors and disabled adults participate in a range of daytime
activities at one of our day centres.
