scarborough support services: news & views spring/summer2004 volume 18, issue 1
The smile on the volunteers from the craft group that manned their booth was priceless. Adding them this year to the BBQ platform illustrated yet another dimension of success.
BBQ Highlights:
Approximately 220 people in attendance this year.
We had a 40% increase in food sales from last year.
The gross sales from food was $1050.00
The Craft Group raised $250.00
Slippers, neck supports, baby attire (bonnets, booties and sweaters), table cloths, teddy bears and blankets were just some of the items that were purchased as early Christmas gifts. Whether you were shopping for your grandmother, sister, auntie, uncle or husband there was something for them all. The craft group was able to raise an astounding $250.00.
Thanks to all the volunteers who worked so vigorously to produce these high quality items.NV
