| The
sun was out in full force with not a cloud in the sky to cover it up.
We couldn’t have asked for a better day for our BBQ. But does a sunny,
warm day equal a formula for success? |
|
|
| The
answer is no! Hypothetically, we could have had a rainy, cold day and
still feel the same excitement from our BBQ. The support that our local
business community showed us this year was strong enough to make any
profit or non-profit organization envious.
We
had more variety this year to please the many appetites. The menu had
original jumbo hotdogs for people that don’t like the burning sensation
and Italian jumbo hotdogs for those that do. Beef hamburgers for the
meat lovers and veggie burgers as an alternative. To satisfy our inner
child cravings, we also had assorted flavours of freezies and cotton
candy. Did someone say it was carnival time?
Our
sponsors and community partners went above and beyond. Their
contribution was instrumental in our achievements for this years BBQ
fundraiser. With the support from our sponsors and community, we were
able to raise an incredible $1050.
On
behalf of the staff at Scarborough Support Services and the Board, we
would like to thank all those in attendance and the individuals who
helped in the planning and running of the BBQ. We look forward to your
continued support for next years event. NV |
